Saturday evening a large group came to our house for a final celebration meeting/goodbye party for the REACH team. They've been here for 8 months and are returning to the States on Wednesday morning. It had been a while since we had a large meeting like this (we've been focusing more on small group meetings) and it was a lot of fun (and a little chaotic!)
Before the meal Wana gave a cooking lesson. Her spicy pork salad is the best we've ever had.
A small portion of the food. Everyone brings food to share...and even though we worry every time that there won't be enough, there always is!
The kids' table. They gobbled up the sushi that Wana brought.
The REACH team (along with a Chinese friend).
After the meal we had a Bible study, heard the team share about what God has taught them in Thailand, and then did a string tying ceremony as a way of blessing them and sending them on their way.
It was good to see everyone together again - some believers, some seekers, and some new friends. It's quite a diverse group, but we're grateful for the unity that God's spirit brings.
