Going home/Leaving home

Today we are packing all of our stuff and preparing for our trip back to Thailand. We're very grateful for the past three months and all of the wonderful experiences that we've had. We feel reconnected with family and friends and we've enjoyed the unique comforts of life in America. But it does feel like it's time to leave this home and return to our Thailand home. Having multiple "homes" certainly has its advantages - we are so thankful for all of the people who make Thailand, Ohio, Delaware, and Virginia home. But we're also feeling the pain of leaving. Today I said goodbye to my grandfather for what is very likely the last time. It was hard to do, but I was reminded again that his true home - and mine - is not here.

We plan to leave early tomorrow morning for Ohio. On Sunday we'll be re-commissioned by our church and on Tuesday morning we''ll leave for Thailand. If you think about us on Tuesday and Wednesday we'd certainly appreciate your prayers for safety and sanity in travelling. Thanks!
