A Pleased Pet Owner
Meet Lenny Mast.
After Eliza's trip to Mae Sot and her newfound discovery of a love of animals, she began insisting that it was time to own her Very Own Pet. Daddy was not very hard to convince so yesterday afternoon, off they went to the pet shop.
Silas is quite (over)excited over the baby bunny as well. He grins every time his little hands touch that soft fur. But we have to let him have a quick touch and then snatch poor Lenny away before he gets mauled by grabby little hands.
So far, Lewis is adapting to his new friend fairly well- seems more scared than aggressive around the new guy.

I'm not much of a pet person, but this little bunny looks pretty cute!! I'm interested in the name Lenny. Where'd that come from?
Also, from the previous post I love Claire's map. Very well done, colorful and accurate as far as I can tell. :)

Hi Kristen- thanks for commenting! We love comments :). I'm not a pet person at all. I've found that good pets for a non-pet person whose husband and children ARE pet people are birds, fish and bunnies- all fairly low maintenance, not too dirty, and quiet. :) All of our animals have "L" names- Lewis, Luk Gaew, and now Lenny. Claire came up with it. :)

Grandma,
I like my bunny! I bring it upstairs to color with him. I like Lenny. I think Lenny rhymes with Lewis!! (but it doesn't exactly rhyme!). When his food is moldy, I change it and we clean out the tray together and I hold him and pet him and change his water too. And guess what my rabbit did to Claire?? Peed on her! I think Silas will want a cat. Eliza
