Please pray with us....
We have two important events coming up in the next several days and we would really appreciate your prayers for those.
The first is tomorrow (Thursday) when we will go to the immigration department with Max. This should be the day we receive our long-term visas. (There will still be some follow-up details to attend to afterwards, but this will be a huge step.) The scary part is that this is also the last day we can apply for the visas – so if something goes wrong…well, we’d just rather not think about that! Please pray for a smooth process, for patience while we wait, and that all documents will be in order. We thought this was all going to happen on Tuesday, but had a very unfruitful afternoon at immigration.
The second event is a “Christmas celebration” that we are hosting at our place on Saturday evening. This will include our team, the REACH team, and a number of Thai friends. Our goal is to celebrate the birth of Jesus together. We will eat, sing, read the Christmas story and pray. Pray that those who come will sense God’s love. Pray for us as we get ready for that.
Thanks so much for praying with us during this week. We have been very busy with English classes, hosting Paul Kurtz and Joe Freeman, and helping them do coffee-related research. The visa issue has added a great deal of stress and we’re hoping that next week when Candice’s parents arrive we will be able to take some time to slow down and relax.
Blessings!
