A New Team Member
This week, we were happy to welcome our new team member to Thailand. Anita Troyer flew in on Tuesday night and Sharon and I picked her up from the airport. Last night she met her new roommate Tawan(we learned that the Thai word for roommate, is "roommate"- tough to remember). We all went out for a getting to know each other meal and as usual, we ate too much really good Thai food (including sun-dried pork which was a new one for me. I'm still a little mystified as to how it dries in the sun before it spoils in the sun).

Tawan, me, Sharon, T's friend Payao, and Anita.
Claire and Tom headed back to school this morning bright and early (I think I combed her hair in my sleep- that can't look too good). I have my English class tonight and I'm looking forward to that with less nervousness than last time. In pet news, Lucy the fish soldiers on, and Buddy is still with us, still munching our plants and shoes. Visa stress continues with no word from Max and our visas running out next week- it looks like another visa run is in our near future. Thanks for all your prayers.

P.S. To file under: "Why would she do that???": Today, after her nap, Eliza decided to pass the time by smearing a tube of antibiotic ointment all over her bookshelf and wood floor. That was fun to clean up.

Would Anita Troyer happen to be from Hartville,OH? If so, I used to babysit her when she was just a baby.

I think so. Makes me feel old when I see these kids that I used to babysit growing up so much. I'm sure she does not remember me as she would have been under a year old. Such a small world this is! I don't know Anita personaly, but if she is anything like her family, you all will have a wonderful time with her. Have fun getting to know her. Tell Anita that I will be praying for a quick adjustment for her.

Maybe Eliza wanted to anoint the place with oil!! Kids can see in the spirit realm sometimes. When I was a child I saw all kinds of things. Some times the kids are more dialed in then the grown ups. We are to busy for availibility.Jesus wants us to be like children.
